Winter in Abbotsbury Village
A very pretty village near the Dorset coast, worth visiting at any time of year.
Autumn Walk, Corfe Castle
We found a new walk, starting at Scotland Farm, near Corfe village. It suddenly opened up to a lovely view of Corfe Castle. We sat down and started to eat our picnic when suddenly two roe deer, a mother and fawn, appeared out of the undergrowth just in front of us. There was a still moment when all our eyes met and then the deer bounded off away from us followed by our very excited dog, Honey. Happily, Honey was a lot slower than the deer. I wanted to capture that special moment in my textile picture.

Autumn Walk - framed in pallet wood and in a room
Springtime at St. Catherine's Chapel
Approaching Abbotsbury Swannery from the east provides a lovely view of the distant swans and St. Catherine’s Chapel towering over the area. Lovely at any time of year, we enjoyed visiting in March when the blackthorn and primroses were out.

Anvil Point Lighthouse
Anvil Point Lighthouse is in the grounds of Durlston, Swanage, overlooking the sea. It is set in amongst lovely hills with wildflower meadows and butterflies. I have shown cow parsley, blue scabious and wild roses along with some holly blue butterflies.

Walking Towards Hengistbury Head
On the headland above the beach huts at Mudeford Sandspit where the honeysuckle grows wild on the cliffs, what a fantastic view…. a lovely place to be on a sunny summer day.

Corfe Castle Under Ash
Corfe Castle looks very different as you view it from different sides. We walked around it and I chose a viewpoint in a field with ash trees in the corner.
